5 ways to take care of your mental health

The life of a working mom can be busy and challenging as we juggle multiple responsibilities. Typically, as a working mom, we wake up early to get ready and our family ready for the day, drops off children at school or daycare, and commute to work.

Throughout the workday, we will focus on completing our job responsibilities and meeting deadlines while also managing any unexpected issues that may arise. Depending on our job and schedule, we may have some flexibility to work from home or adjust our schedule to attend school or family events.

After work, a working mom may pick up our children and attend to their needs, such as helping with homework, preparing dinner, and spending quality time together.  We may also have other household responsibilities such as cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping. Finding time for self-care, hobbies, and exercise can be challenging, but a working mom needs to prioritize our well-being.

The role of a working mom is multifaceted and can include being a caregiver, provider, and role model for our children. We must balance our job responsibilities with the demands of her family life, which can be challenging and stressful. The guilt of a never-ending to-do list can be overwhelming as a working mom may feel like she’s not doing enough for our family or not meeting our expectations.

Being a mother, and especially a working mother, is not an easy job. We endure a great deal of discomfort and problems with our mental health.

Working mothers should follow these strategies to take good care of themselves mentally.

The practice of yoga involves controlled breathing and gentle movement, which can help calm the mind and reduce anxiety. It can also help improve sleep quality, which can lead to increased energy and focus during the day.

Therapy sessions

Therapy sessions can provide a safe and supportive environment for working moms to explore their emotions, identify sources of stress, and develop coping strategies. There are many different types of therapy, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, and family therapy.

Optimism for working moms
