It’s moving day.
Today, we’re saying goodbye to Kota Kinabalu,Sabah — a place that has quietly shaped our lives in the past months. It’s been peaceful, grounding, and healing in so many ways. I honestly didn’t expect to fall in love with the calmness here, but I did.
As I’m writing this, our bags are packed, and we’re ready for another chapter. Kajang, here we come — again.
I feel a little torn. On one hand, I’m excited to go back to the familiar — our favorite food spots, easier access to everything, and most importantly, being closer to friends, family that working here and our SIB Cheras community. On the other hand, I’m already missing the slower days, the greenery, the quiet moments we had as a small family here.
Borneo has been good to us. We made sweet memories, especially watching our little one grow up in a space that’s a bit less rushed. There’s something so special about that, and I’m taking that peace with me wherever we go.
So, here’s to a new (yet familiar) beginning in Kajang. I’m a bit nervous, but also hopeful for what this season will bring. Praying for smooth transitions, new opportunities, and more meaningful moments — no matter where we are.
Kajang/Semenanjung Malaysia, be gentle with us. We’re home again.
