Review: New Balance 327 Sneakers

Let’s talk about a sneaker that’s been making waves— the New Balance 327. If you love a mix of vintage vibes and modern comfort, this might just be the perfect pair for you. I got my hands on a pair, my husband bought me for my birthday last year (2024) and here’s my personal take on its design, comfort, and whether it’s actually worth the hype.

First Impressions & Design

Right out of the box, the New Balance 327 looks like a sneaker straight out of the ‘70s but with a fresh, modern twist. The oversized "N" logo immediately grabs attention, and the extended rubber outsole wrapping around the heel gives it a unique, edgy look.

It comes in tons of colors, so whether you like a bold statement or something more subtle, there's an option for you. Honestly, it’s one of those sneakers that instantly elevate any outfit without even trying.

How Comfortable Is It?

Comfort-wise, I was pleasantly surprised. The shoe is super lightweight, making it easy to wear all day without feeling like your feet are dragging. The padded insole provides decent cushioning, though I wouldn’t call it the most supportive sneaker out there.

The mix of suede and nylon keeps things breathable, but if you get caught in the rain, those suede panels might not be too happy. Also, heads up— if you have wide feet, the fit might feel a bit snug, so consider sizing up for a comfier feel.

Everyday Wear & Durability

For casual wear and walking around the city, the 327 holds up pretty well. The grippy rubber sole gives good traction, and the build quality feels solid for daily use. But if you’re thinking of using it for serious workouts or running, this isn’t the shoe for that. Also, since suede can be a bit high-maintenance, you might need to put in some extra care to keep them looking fresh.

The Good & The Not-So-Good

What I Love:

✔️ Cool retro-inspired design that stands out

✔️ Lightweight and comfy for all-day wear

✔️ Versatile— pairs well with different outfits

✔️ Loads of color options

What Could Be Better:

❌ Runs a little narrow— might need to size up

❌ Suede needs extra care to avoid scuffs

❌ Not ideal for intense workouts

Final Verdict: Worth It?

If you’re after a stylish, everyday sneaker that blends retro aesthetics with modern comfort, the New Balance 327 is a great pick. It’s trendy, easy to style, and comfy enough for daily wear.

Just keep in mind that it’s more of a lifestyle sneaker than a performance one. If you’re cool with that, I’d say go for it!
