A fresh new chapter begins



Happy New Year 2025 everyone!

This new year 2025 is not happen like I planned. We back from my kampung on 29 December 2024 to celebrate new year at Sabah with my in law's family.

But, something unexpected happened.

I get sick, unable to kencing and when I forced it, its too painful, I can't even walk, laying in bed and sit comfortably. The pain is unbearable when we arrived in Miri on 29 Dec 2024. We went to clinic and get painkillers and I just sleeping after that. Wake up feel abit better but the pain is still there. 

So, we just stayed in our hotel room, I want to go around Miri actually but what to do, I'm sick.

The next day, I feel a bit better so we just continue our journey to Sabah from Miri. But, when we reach Tenom, the pain come again and this time, its more severe than before. I don't want go to clinic or hospital this time because I am afraid I will admit and I thought I just need a rest. But, the next day, I cannot tahan already so I asked my husband to bring me to clinic and get different kind of medicine and this time, the doctor is better than the first doctor.

During the countdown of new year 2025, I am just sleeping with my son while my husband went to church. I feel totally wasted this time.But, what can I do. Health is wealth people!

Reflections on 2024

2024 was a whirlwind. There were moments of joy—like traveling to new places, achieving personal milestones, and spending quality time with loved ones. But there were also challenges that tested my patience and resilience. Through it all, I learned the importance of perseverance, self-care, and leaning on my support system when times got tough.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to focus on what truly matters. Life is too short to be consumed by stress or negativity. Instead, I’ve started prioritizing the people and activities that bring me happiness and fulfillment.


Goals for 2025

This year, I’m setting goals that align with my values and passions. Here are a few intentions I’ve set for myself:

  1. Be Present: In a world filled with distractions, I want to be more mindful and fully present in each moment. Whether it’s playing with my son, having a heartfelt conversation, or simply enjoying a quiet cup of coffee, I want to savor it all.

  2. Nurture Relationships: Family and friends are my greatest blessings. This year, I plan to invest more time and effort into strengthening these bonds.

  3. Personal Growth: Whether it’s learning a new skill, reading more books, or exploring creative outlets, I’m committed to growing as a person.

  4. Health and Well-being: Taking care of my physical and mental health is a priority. This includes eating well, staying active, and making time for rest.

  5. Gratitude Practice: I want to start a daily gratitude journal to remind myself of the many things I have to be thankful for.


Welcoming the Unknown

While it’s great to have plans and goals, I’ve also learned to leave room for the unexpected. Life has a way of surprising us, and sometimes the best moments are the ones we never saw coming. So, here’s to embracing the unknown and welcoming whatever 2025 has in store.


My Word for 2025: "Intentional"

If I had to choose one word to guide me this year, it would be "intentional." I want to live each day with purpose and make choices that align with my dreams and values. Whether it’s how I spend my time, the people I surround myself with, or the opportunities I pursue, I want everything to reflect intention.


Cheers to New Beginnings

As we step into 2025, I’m filled with gratitude and excitement. A new year is a blank canvas, and I can’t wait to fill it with beautiful memories, meaningful experiences, and lessons that will shape me for the better.
