Hello world! Today is it's my birthday!
Whenever it's birthday, I always feel excited because I am grateful I can reaching another years in my life. If you're closed to me, you will know that I love to do birthday countdown every year. I love looking forward for my birthday at the end of November every year.
Birthdays have always been a time for celebration, but they’re also moments of pause, times to look back on what I’ve learned, how I’ve grown, and where I want to go next.
Turning 36 feels like reaching a new chapter in life, one where I feel more confident in who I am but still eager to learn and evolve.
Embracing Change and Growth
If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the past few years, it’s that life never stops changing. In my 20s, I had big dreams, lots of energy, and perhaps a few unrealistic expectations. My 30s have been a decade of balancing reality with those dreams, learning to adapt when things don’t go as planned, and discovering the beauty in growth.
This year especially, I feel a shift within myself. I’ve come to realize that growth isn’t just about achieving goals or ticking off milestones. It’s about becoming more at peace with who I am, letting go of things that don’t serve me, and learning to trust God more deeply.
36 and Grateful
I’m entering this new year of life with a deep sense of gratitude. There’s so much I’ve accomplished and experienced, from career milestones to family moments that have shaped me. The relationships I’ve built, the lessons I’ve learned, and the obstacles I’ve overcome all contribute to the person I am today.
I’m especially grateful for my family. Watching my child grow, seeing my husband’s support through everything, and being able to balance the chaos of life with love and laughter makes 36 feel like a blessing. Each day, I’m reminded of how fortunate I am to have people in my life who make the journey that much sweeter.
Learning to Slow Down
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned as I approach 36 is the value of slowing down. Life in my 20s and early 30s felt like a race—always pushing for the next achievement, the next promotion, the next goal. But over the past few years, I’ve come to appreciate the importance of living more intentionally.
This year, since we moved to KK, I’ve embraced the concept of slow living. Instead of rushing through each day, I’m learning to be more present, to savor the small moments, and to make time for self-care. Turning 36 feels like an invitation to continue slowing down and enjoying the journey, rather than always focusing on the destination.
Lessons from the Past, Excitement for the Future
As I reflect on the lessons life has taught me so far, there are a few that stand out:
- Don’t sweat the small stuff: So many things I once thought were important now seem insignificant. I’ve learned to focus on what truly matters.
- Take care of yourself: Physical and mental health are precious, and taking time to nurture both is essential.
- It’s okay to say no: People-pleasing is exhausting. I’ve learned that setting boundaries is a form of self-respect.
- Cherish the people who support you: True friends and family are rare and invaluable. They’re the ones who lift you up when life gets tough.
Looking ahead, I’m excited for what the future holds. I have goals, both big and small, that I’m ready to tackle. But more than that, I’m ready to continue growing into the person I’m meant to be—one day at a time, one year at a time.
What’s Next?
Turning 36 feels like stepping into a new phase of life where confidence, experience, and curiosity blend together. I don’t have all the answers, but I feel more equipped to handle whatever life throws at me. I’m looking forward to new adventures, personal growth, and more meaningful moments with family and friends.
Here’s to turning 36 with gratitude, excitement, and a heart open to whatever comes next. Cheers to another year of life, love, and learning!
