How are you today? I hope you're doing well. 


After became a working mom, my morning never be the same anymore. When my son just a baby, I can say that my morning still organized and calm because we don't send our son to playschool as we had our lived in babysitter with us that help us a lot. While we went to work, my son is comfortably sleep at our home with our babysitter.


Now our son is 4 years old and as you know, when you have toddler in the house, life will be never be the same and we already sent him to preschool so almost every mornings is the most challenging part of the day as we need to handle my son's tantrum.


Why having a calm and steady morning routine is really important? 

A calm and steady morning routine sets the tone for a productive day at work and quality time with your family. 


Here’s a morning checklist to help you start your day feeling more in control, even with the busy schedules we all juggle.


1. Rise and Shine Early

I waking up 1 hour to 30 minutes before everyone else as this will gives me some peaceful time to ease into the day.

  • Set your alarm for a consistent time each morning.
  • Avoid the snooze button

2. Hydrate First Thing

Water boosts your metabolism and rehydrates your body.

  • Drink a glass of water with lemon or warm water to kickstart your body.
  • Consider preparing a bottle the night before to keep on your bedside table/bedside.


3. 5-10 Minutes of stretching & devotion

Starting with stretching & devotion morning helps my body wake up gently.

  • Stretching helps relieve any morning stiffness and can set a positive, relaxed mood.
  • Devotion can reduce morning stress and center your thoughts for the day.


4. Quick Skincare Routine

After take morning bath, take a moment to care for yourself with a simplified skincare regimen.

  • Cleanse, tone, and moisturize in 5 minutes.
  • Don’t skip sunscreen, even if you’re spending most of the day indoors.


5. Prepare a Nourishing Breakfast

Fueling up before the day starts is essential for energy and focus.

  • Opt for a balanced meal like smoothies, or a quick scrambled egg can be great options.
  • If breakfast feels rushed, consider prepping the night before.


6. Pack Essentials the Night Before

Packing bags and lunches ahead minimizes the morning scramble.

  • Set aside items like laptops, lunches, and any special items needed for the day.
  • For kids, pack their essentials and place them by the door or in the car the night before.


7. Quick Check-In with Family

Dedicate 5 minutes to connect with each family member before the day starts.

  • A quick chat, a hug can make everyone feel connected.
  • This is also a great time to remind the kids of any plans for the day.


8. Manageable To-Do List

Having a realistic to-do list keeps you grounded and focused.

  • Identify your top 3 priorities for the day.
  • Leave room for unexpected tasks and focus on achievable goals.


9. Leave Time for Little Delays

Factor in a few extra minutes to help mornings feel less rushed.

  • Allow for “buffer time” to handle any last-minute needs or outfit changes.
  • Aim to leave the house at least 10 minutes before you absolutely need to.
