Hello, friends!
Today's blog post is a little different from usual. I’ve always wanted to spotlight some incredible local brands I know, especially Borneo-based brands. I love supporting and giving exposure to these wonderful entrepreneurs! I may not have a large following just yet, but I believe that one day, I’ll make a real impact. 🙏🙏
This time, I’m kicking things off with 6 Borneo fashion brands that you should check out and support.
Let’s dive right in!
(Note: This post was not produced in partnership with any of the brands mentioned and does not contain affiliate links. All opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting Borneo Working Mom Blog with your readership!)
|1| Borneo Cap by Alena Murang
I recently bought the "Warrior" cap from Alena Murang’s collection, and now she’s released these Borneo caps... arghhh, I love it! You’ll have to act fast, though—these caps sell out quickly. Check out her Instagram and see if you can snag one!
|2| Fedrick Ding Handbags
I discovered this designer on Facebook. As an Orang Ulu (Kenyah), I naturally love these bags because they represent my heritage. I’m so proud to see these bags in the marketplace! I can’t buy one right now due to budget constraints, but if you can, I highly encourage you to support Fedrick Ding so these beautiful bags will still be around when I can finally afford one!
|3| Borneo Native
The third brand is Borneo Native. From my research, this brand is already well-established. I absolutely love their designs, especially the cardigans and backpacks—so trendy with Borneo-inspired motifs! Definitely check them out if you’re into modern designs with a touch of tradition.
|4| Orang Ulu Collection
This one had to make the list because the founder of Orang Ulu Collection is actually my relative, and we’re from the same village! If you’re looking for authentic Orang Ulu attire like Ta’a or Tapung, you’ll definitely want to check them out.
|5| Kesya Fatin
I just discovered this brand while researching for this post and couldn’t believe my eyes. These bags are beautifully crafted from beads—each one is unique and stunning. If you love cute, one-of-a-kind handbags, you definitely need to see Kesya Fatin’s collection.
|6| Kumangandco
I’ve known about this brand for a while, but it’s been a long time since I checked them out. They have so many amazing new collections now! Take a look—you won’t be disappointed!
THANK YOU FOR READING!
I hope this post introduces you to a brand that speaks to you. I’m excited to share more posts like this in the future, so stay tuned!
With love,
Aya 💖
